UAE’s first Blood Flow Restriction intervention has just been published in BMC!
We are happy to share that our abstract, previously presented at the 6th International Scientific Conference Exercise & Quality of Life (EQOL) 2024 in Novi Sad, Serbia, has been published in Springer Nature’s BMC Proceedings. As per our knowledge, this is the first Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) intervention study performed in the UAE. Our colleague, lead-author Roan Kotze, from the OMNI Performance team, did the ‘‘heavy lifting’’ for this study, while Ivana and Željko performed necessary modifications, scientific updates, and the final version for submission.
This study presents our continuous effort in spreading the knowledge about the BFR in our region, after previously presenting on this subject at two local conferences, back in 2022 and announcing the first BFR Certification in the UAE and broader MENA region, which was reported here.
