HERC – Health, Exercise & Research Center aims to become a regional sport and exercise science education and research leader. For the past few years, we collaborated with World’s leading Universities and the best local Universities. In a short time, we developed and delivered a few ”first-time ever in the UAE” projects from educational and research perspectives. UAE has constantly evolved, and the sporting sector has always followed economic growth. UAE Government and sporting institutions such as GAS -General Authority for Sport and Sports Councils (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah) have set a 2030 development plan that goes along with Dubai Economic Plan – D33 and Dubai Sport strategy for 2033 as well as National strategy for 2031.

Working with a variety of government entities (Dubai Police, Hemaya International Center, KHDA, Emirates School Establishment, etc.), Higher Education Institutions (the University of Birmingham, American University in the Emirates, Abu Dhabi University, and the University of Sharjah) and numerous sports clubs and individuals gave us a unique perspective on UAE sporting challenges and opportunities.

For decades, we have built an extensive network of health, sport, exercise, and rehabilitation experts, and the idea of bringing them together came when we saw a need for support to the UAE’s sporting sector.

HERC’s Expert Group

The primary objective of HERC’s Expert Group is to address the requirements of the UAE Government in advancing the field of sports. However, the group is also capable of extending its services to the broader GCC and MENA regions. Our team includes field experts and has completed similar projects in their countries. Our knowledge encompasses various areas including administration, leadership, and legal aspects of sports, as well as identifying talents, providing education in professional sports, nurturing staff, establishing and managing sports performance centers, and conducting cutting-edge research in sports and exercise science. At present, our panel of experts consists of eight individuals, and we eagerly anticipate the addition of a few more experts from diverse disciplines in the coming times. We deeply appreciate and feel privileged to have a remarkable assembly of professionals who are eager to contribute to the progress and enhancement of the UAE, as well as the wider MENA region.
